COME JOIN US @ A CAUSE FOR PAWS
Music lovers are in for a treat on Tuesday evening June 8, with an outdoor concert to benefit homeless animals from 7:00 to 9:00 PM presented by The Cabins at Seven Foxes in Lake Toxaway, NC ... sponsored by Brevard Animal Hospital and Sound Extreme Entertainment.
Jan Daugherty, local animal rescuer and concert violist, will play the fiddle and perform an eclectic mix of folk and popular Celtic music with her band, Top of the Mornin', which includes Eddie and Carol Ramsey on guitar and hammered dulcimer as well as Jan's daughter Juliana, who plays the Irish flute.
Proceeds from this event, titled Cause for Paws will be shared by Friends for Life in Lake Toxaway (www.friendsforlifeforeverfarm.org) and Transylvania Animal Alliance Group (www.taagwags.org) in Brevard. Both are nonprofit charitable organizations with a common mission: to find suitable, permanent homes for displaced adoptable cats and dogs. Donations are used primarily for spay/neuter, veterinary expenses, foster care and the operation of the Forever Farm, a sanctuary for Senior and Special Needs animals operated by Friends for Life.
